Tracey Wilkinson (GB)

I was born into a family of dogs my mother Patricia was the founder of the Altricia kennels with the help of my dad Alan. Altricia is the affix of 27 homebred UK Show Champions. I am very lucky to have shared my parents knowledge in breeding these wonderful dogs. My mum granted me the affix as a separate interest in 2006.

I first started judging in 1985 Rough Collies of which I now award Challenge Certificates.

My first Border Collie Appointment was in 1987 and I awarded my first set of CC`s in 1993 the entry was 148/167 the dog CC went to Beesting Twiglette who later gained his title, the bitch CC was Sh Ch Dykebar Future Glory. I have since awarded CC`s 14 times in total and had the pleasure of judging Border Collie of the year twice in the UK.

In 2013 I was honoured to judge Dogs at Crufts and The Border Collie Society of America National Speciality where the BOB class of 67 was quite a spectacular class to judge. I have judged in Iceland, Belgium, Germany, Italy, Czech Republic and The Euro Dogshow. It’s been a pleasure to visit America, Australia and Europe to watch this wonderful breed as a spectator and meet up with friends.

I am a founder and life member of the Midland Border Collie club serving on the committee for several years. After a break I joined the Border Collie Club of Great Britain serving them in various roles and was rewarded with life membership. In 2020 I had the honour of becoming a Kennel Club member. I am currently the breed education coordinator for Border Collies helping up and coming judges through the Kennel Clubs judges education programme.

Its always a pleasure to judge Border Collies and I never tire of watching this wonderful breed. A hobby that has given so much .
