Judges

First owned Irish Setters in 1975 and have exhibited continuously to the present day. Have bred or owned 4 champions and many other CC and RCC winners. Bred Irish Setter Champions in Belgium and New Zealand. Have shown Labrador Retrievers and Pointers. Currently also show Jack Russell Terriers.

First judged Irish Setters at Championship Show level in 1988 and have judged the breed on 16 occasions, including Crufts in 2006.

Now approved to award CC’s in 20 Gundog Breeds, including all Setters and Pointers. Also approved to award Cc’s in GBGV. PBGV, Irish Terriers and Jack Russell Terriers.

I have judged the Gundog Group on 4 occasions, most recently at Manchester Show in January 2024 with an entry of over 2300 Gundogs entered.

I am a former Chairman of The Irish Setter Association, England, founder on The Midlands Irish Setter Society and currently Secretary of The City of Birmingham General Championship Show
