
| This year, Vlaanderens Rashondenfestival v.z.w.
is holding its 46th International Dog show on November 14&15 2009. All our visitors come with at least one thing in common: a keen interest in dogs, and we hope that you will feel at home here amongst so many fellow dog lovers. Let us show you around and tell you what is going on in the various rings. 51 judges from 15 countries, will be judging 200 various breeds and varieties, as well as the trials. This show will be organized in accordance with the regulations of the FCI ( Fédération Cynologique Internationale), of which Belgium is a founding member. |
The dogs will be judged in the following classes:
| BABY CLASS : |
for dogs of 4 to 6 calendar months on the day of the show. |
| PUPPY CLASS: |
for dogs of 6 and not exceeding 9 calendar months on the day of the show. This class does not qualify for C.A..C. - C.A.C.I.B. - B.O.B. |
| YOUTH CLASS: |
for dogs of 9 and not exceeding 18 calendar months on the day of the show. This class does not qualify of C.A.C. and C.A.C.I.B. but does qualify for B.O.B. |
| INTERMEDIATE CLASS : |
for dogs of 15 to 24 calendar months on the day of the show. |
| OPEN CLASS: |
for dogs of 15 calendar months of age and older on the day of the show. |
| WORKING CLASS: |
for all dogs from 15 months on the day of the show. Open to working breed dogs having obtained a prize or a ACU at a trial with CAC, organised for the breed. An official certificate (photocopy) approved by the FCI and delivered by the national kennel club of the home country must be submitted with the entry form. It shall mention the type of trial and the validity of the result for entering this class. Lacking this certificate, the dog shall be entered in the open class. |
| CHAMPION CLASS: |
for all dogs which have obtained the title of National Champion or International Champion. Those titles must be officially recognised (F.C.I.).. Photocopy of the certificate must be submitted with the entry form. Lacking this certificate, the dog shall be entered in the open class. |
| VETERAN CLASS: |
for dogs of 8 years of age or more. This class does qualify for BOB not for C.A.C. - C.A.C.I.B. |
| BRACE CLASS: |
for two dogs of the same breed (male & female), belonging to the same owner(s). To compete in the brace class, the dogs must also be entered in one of the individual classes . |
| GROUP CLASS: |
for a group of minimum 3 dogs of the same breed, without distinction of sex, belonging to the same owner(s). To compete in this class the dogs must also be entered in one of the individual classes. |
All dogs entered in these classes must hold a registered pedigree recognized by the FCI.
The best of sex for each breed will be awarded the CAC (Certificat d'Aptitude au Championnat) and the CACIB (Certificat d'Aptitude au Championnat International de Beauté).
Best of Breed will be selected from the Best Dog and Best Bitch to go forward to the Group, and Group Winners will compete for the title of :
